Curt LeDuc's Ford F-150 truck finished first in Class 8 and fifth overall in the August 9 KC HiLites Midnight Special race in Primm, Nevada. The race was a part of the Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts (SNORE) racing series and provided plenty of excitement with heavy dust conditions and a late start to the 250-mile race.

The race covers five 50-mile laps, with road conditions getting worse with each passing lap. The Ford F-150 truck -- sponsored by Rockstar, Makita, Kal Gard Lubricants, and Toyo Tires -- was piloted by the reigning 2007 Best in the Desert Class 8000 champion LeDuc, his son Kyle, and Macrae Glass of Kingman, Arizona. Although they started the race in 51st place, they had progressed to 10th place within the first 50 miles. Their run ended around 2 a.m. the following Sunday.

Curt Leduc has competed with his Ford F-150 in the Best in the Desert series in 2008 and has won in every event entered this year. Stan Chen, the manager of events and motorsport for Toyo Tires, commended the team's achievement: "We congratulate Curt LeDuc and his race team on another win with their desert race truck. LeDuc has proven dominant in Class 8 and 8000 events on his Toyo Open Country M/T tires. We are proud of our association with his team."
