Toyota is apparently having a hard time moving its inventory of certified used Tundra trucks and Sequoia SUVs -- not surprising considering the way consumers have been shunning gas guzzlers in favor of smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles lately.

So in an effort to get its not-so-green used machines off dealer lots, the automaker has announced its first-ever national Annual Percentage Rate program for certified used vehicles that offers eligible customers 2.9 percent financing for up to 66 months on Sequoia and Tundra only.

According to Toyota Certified Used Vehicles operations manager Norm Olsen, the financing can save customers up to $60 on monthly payments. That'll probably get you a little more than a half tank of gas with four-dollar-a-gallon prices. The program will run to July 31, 2008.

Toyota's certified used program has seen a 7.3-percent uptick overall through April of this year over last year.
