Ford is issuing a recall on 2005-2006 model-year Ford F-150s and {{{Lincoln Mark LT}}} pickups equipped with the 300-horsepower 5.4-liter V-8 engine.

The recall -- which affects about 600,000 trucks in the U.S., about 50,000 in Canada, and 1500 elsewhere -- is to fix a hose that could affect the trucks' braking power.

Ford reports there have been 11 minor accidents but no injuries as a result of the faulty hose. Owners will be notified in late June and the free fixes will begin at dealerships in July.
