With over a year of service in our long-term fleet, the utilitarian Yukon has made plenty of friends, notably copy editor Dryden, who deemed the GMC, with its cushy ride, ample power, and nice stereo, "perhaps the most user-friendly SUV in our fleet."

As one whose job it is to spot errors, Dryden managed to uncover one in the GMC. "It's cold in the morning where I live, and the seat warmers and heater system just don't kick in fast enough for my taste. I let the Yukon warm up for five minutes before I leave for the office, with the seat warmers and heater cranked all the way. While the interior gets warmed up, comfortably enough-though not necessarily where I don't need a jacket-the seats are still cold. It's not until I've driven for another 10 minutes that I feel the seat warmers adequate enough for bun toasting."
