Buick has recently unveiled a promotional contest with a rather unique grand prize: a round of golf with Tiger Woods-as your caddy. Called "Tee-Off with Tiger," the winner gets to play nine holes at Torrey Pines in La Jolla with the golf superstar and Buick pitchman personally caddying for them. "This is going to be as much for me as it is for the winners," says Woods, "I'm looking forward to sharing some golf tips, maybe a few jokes and certainly a lot of laughs."
Considering that no golf experience is required to enter, don't expect to see Tiger using any of your "tips" next time he plays Augusta.
To play, contestants will need to guess Tiger's score for each 18-hole round at several tournaments he plays in during the year, and the 10 closest ones will be placed in a pool from which the grand prize winner is selected. In addition, the contestant with the closest score for any given tournament will win the actual Buick that Tiger drives during the event, complete with a signed plaque authenticated by Upper Deck.
Entrants must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license, and the grand prize winner will receive two economy class tickets to La Jolla, California (site of the Buick Invitational) for themselves and a friend, as well as two night's accommodation for the event. Of course if you do, at least you can console yourself on the ride home with a nice new collectable Buick.
