Jeep and Chrysler Host a Motown Iron Chef Cook-off at Detroit's Winter Blast

Chrysler and Jeep® brands, along with Chrysler Financial, will combine the best of two worlds -- food and three of its top-selling vehicles -- when it kicks off a "Motown Iron Chef" competition between three restaurants at Detroit's 2007 Winter Blast on Feb. 9 at 11:45 a.m. Each chef will prepare finger foods that fit the characteristics of a Chrysler Aspen, Jeep Commander or Jeep Wrangler.

Chrysler Financial will donate $5,000 to the winning restaurant's charity of choice. The second prize is $500 donated to a restaurant's charity of choice; third prize is $250 donated to a charity of choice. All three prize donations will be made to food-related charities.

"Chrysler and Jeep vehicles are designed to fit the lifestyles of people who want function, style and value," said Nellie LaGarde, Manager - Education Programs, Civic and Community Relations. "We think it will be fun to see how far a restaurant will go when vehicles become part of the description."

"The attributes of Chrysler and Jeep vehicles are very different and it's going to be exciting to see what each restaurant will create."

A panel of judges will sample all of the food specialties and score each item on taste/flavor, presentation, quality and creativity.

2007 Jeep Commander Limited

The three participating restaurants and their assigned vehicles are:
Coach Insignia, Executive Chef David Hubbard, Chrysler Aspen.
