American Expedition Vehicles, out of Missoula, Montana, was responsible for this buildup. The company started with the Hemi-powered Commander and lifted the SUV 4.5 inches, putting 37-inch tires underneath. The wheelbase was extended five inches, and a roof rack, rocker guards, and custom fender flares were installed. The custom bumpers house Warn winches. The interior is communications central, with CB and VHF radios, GSM and NMT phones, mobile satellite Internet, and mapping GPS. And it also has first-aid and equipment-repair kits, always handy when going on an expedition.
