Soon after the recent GT launch, designers began considering converting it into a roadster. Mark Gerisch of Genaddi Design Group, an experienced designer and metal shaper who has a history of reconfiguring exotic cars, was appointed to the task. Behold the fruits of his labor: The GTX1 Roadster, featuring an innovative roof system made of four individual hard panels that can be configured as a coupe, t-top, or full convertible, and store inside the vehicle for easy access. The rear clamshell covering the engine utilizes two buttresses that flow rearward from the seatbacks to showcase the 5.4-liter/550-horsepower supercharged V-8 engine. The Ford GTX1 rides on 19-inch front, 20-inch rear 6061 Alloy Corporation wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires, and is stopped by Brembo brakes. Inside are Sparco carbon-fiber seats, and a Sony Xplod audio system. Do you want one? Just $40,000 is all it takes to convert your own GT into a GTX1 roadster. Contact www.gtx1.com for more information.
