The last time we spotted a 2011 BMW X3 undergoing testing, it wore black paint underneath its crazy camouflage. This time around, the tester is a white edition and unfortunately for us interested folk, sports much of the same camo garb that successfully hides many of its exterior character lines.
Overall, our intel says the next-generation CUV is bigger in order to better fill out the lineup that now includes the X1. A new shot of the interior shows us many of the same BMW knobs and switches we've come to know, but interestingly, the dash is highly concealed. Is there a new configuration?
Insiders mention that it'll get an xDrive four-wheel-drive system from the X5. It'll come with a full range of engines that includes a 3.0L naturally aspirate inline six-cylinder and possibly its 300-hp 3.5L twin-turbocharged counterpart. A 30d model with a 245-hp engine is said to be available as well when the small SUV hits dealerships late next year.
Check back for more shots of the 2011 BMW X3 in the coming months.
