Honda will offer an Accord-based crossover called the Accord Crosstour this fall to North American buyers, the automaker announced this week.
Although no further information or images have been revealed, the 2010 model will likely bare some resemblance to the automaker's premium-grade Acura ZDX concept displayed at the 2009 New York Auto Show (below). Acura's rendition will come this fall as well.
Rather than employ the rumored MDX-sourced 3.7L found in the ZDX, the Accord Crosstour is said to utilize the current Accord's pair of 2.4L four-cylinders rated at 177- and 190-hp. The bigger 271-hp 3.5L V-6 will also likely be offered. No word on if the crossover will get a version of Honda's SH-AWD, but we suspect a vehicle of this type will get an all-wheel-drive option.
