Anyone who drives has to visit the pumps eventually, and this summer, Suzuki wants to make it easy with pre-paid gas from its "Free Gas for Summer" sales program. Under the terms of the program, a debit card of predetermined value will accompany every SX4 purchase.
The 2009 SX4 comes as either a four-door sedan or five-door crossover. Buyers who purchase the sedan model will receive a debit card worth $270, while those who elect for the crossover will receive a card with $290. To help put the scenario into perspective, the sedan and crossover receive estimated fuel economies of around 22 city/30 highway, give or take one or two mpg depending on the SX4's configuration. With regular gas priced at $2.99/gallon down the street, purchasing a new SX4 crossover would provide me with 96.7 gallons worth of gas, enough for a theoretical range of 2127 miles in the city and 2901 miles on the highway.
In addition to offering free gas, Suzuki is also offering $2000 in customer cash on all SX4 models equipped with standard transmissions.
