The new Ford Ranger will act as a support vehicle at this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, a celebration of the history of motorsports and anything with an engine and wheels. The annual event is held at Goodwood House, the Earl of March's ancestral home in West Sussex, and includes a hillclimb event, a rally race, a garden party, and an auto show. The Festival of Speed is running from July 3-5.

The new Ford Ranger bowed at this year's Geneva auto show, and will not be available for sale in the UK until September. With an updated look and various diesel powerplant offerings, the new European Ford Ranger is an intermediary truck before the Ranger takes on a new global platform for 2012.
