This custom BMW X6 ambulance variant could be coming to the future rescue of Europeans in distress.

The EMT equipped all-wheel drive crossover is based on the brand's X6 xDrive 50i and was built specifically for an upcoming German rescue and utility trade show.

All the necessary medical equipment, side and rear view cameras, flashing LEDs and proper livery ensure this Beemer is ready for emergency duty.

The model's engine bay remains untouched, with a 4.4L twin-turbo V-8 sending 400-hp and 450 lb-ft to all four wheels. Unfortunately though, all the medical equipment only adds to the X6's 5269 lbs and is bound to subtract from its standard 12 mpg city/18 mpg highway fuel ratings. We figure that short distance rescues might be best for this rig, that is, if it even makes it to production.
