Infiniti Announces Price Hike On 2010 Infiniti QX56, 4WD Model

Perhaps in an attempt to move 2009 QX56 full-size SUVs, Infiniti is adding $1000 to the MSRP of the 2010 QX56 2WD, to $56,915.

Now, when potential buyers of the Escalade and Navigator competitor enter the Infiniti showroom, salespeople can point to the 2009 QX56 as being a better deal than the 2010 model.

What do you get for $1000 more? Nothing as far as we can tell. You won't find any changes to the 2010 Infiniti except for one color deletion, according to an Infiniti spokesman. If you've been pining for a QX56 in Serengeti Sand, 2009 will be the last model year to get one.

While the 2WD model starts at $56,915, the 4WD QX56 carries a base price of $60,015. For comparison, a 4WD Cadillac Escalade has an MSRP of $65,705, a Mercedes-Benz GL450 starts at $60,075, and a Lincoln Navigator L 4WD can be had for $60,020.

All prices include a destination and handling charge that varies by SUV.
