A special edition Mitsubishi Outlander RX has been released to the Australian market, with the run limited to 300 units. The functional RX package melds the versatility of a standard Outlander with increased sophistication thanks to unique appointments.
Separating the Outlander RX from the crowd are 18-in. RAYS alloy wheels, chrome exterior door handles and mirrors, HID headlights, headlight washers, and front, rear, and side air dams. The interior has been treated with decorative front and rear door trim ornaments, chrome interior door handles, and a unique seat trim. Technological additions include Smart key entry, Bluetooth capability, a Rockford Fosgate premium audio system, and the Mitsubishi Multi-Communications System with satellite navigation.
Underneath the hood is Mitsubishi's 3.0L MIVEC V-6 engine, which will be sending power through a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive comes standard, and the Outlander RX will be equipped with Mitsubishi's Active Stability Control with Traction Control and All Wheel Control. Drivers will be able to switch from AWD to 2WD and vice-versa on-the-fly at the turn of a dial. Fuel economy is expected to average slightly over 21 mpg.
