2009 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2009 Jeep Wrangler Earn Some Gold

The 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 is adding another two awards to its display case, as it has been named the "Work Truck of the Year" by Cars.com and also named the "Best Buy for 2009" in the large pickup category from Consumer Guide.
According to Patrick Olsen, editor-in-chief at Cars.com, the criteria for Work Truck of the Year includes "look[ing] for vehicles that perform well, whether that means getting a commuter to work comfortably and efficiently or providing a hard worker with power, durability, and a lot of cargo space." Consumer Guide Automotive associate publisher Tom Appel noted the Ram was named a Best Buy thanks to "its composed ride, impressively comfortable and quiet cabin and unique cargo storage features," along with being "remarkably maneuverable for a large pickup truck."
The 2009 Jeep Wrangler was named the "Best New Car for Off-roaders" by Cars.com.
